The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has presented admission letters to six beneficiaries selected for scholarship admission into Abiola Ajimobi Technical University, Ibadan, for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The admission letters were presented to the beneficiaries by the Head of Local Government Administration, Ibadan North Local Government, Deacon Olabode Ajebisi, on behalf of the Executive Chairman.

Speaking on behalf of the chairman, Ajebisi congratulated the beneficiaries on their selection, noting that they emerged from among the applicants based on their academic grades, results and performance during the screening exercise.

He commended the students for their academic performance and appreciated the Oyo State Government, under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, for its continued efforts to provide scholarship opportunities for students to pursue higher education at Abiola Ajimobi Technical University.

Ajebisi urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the opportunity, stressing that many people, including himself, did not have the privilege of receiving academic scholarships during their time.

He also advised the students to shun bad associations and conduct themselves responsibly, urging them to make their parents, the Oyo State Government, Ibadan North Local Government and themselves proud.

Also speaking, the Director of Administration and General Services, Ibadan North Local Government, Mrs. Ejiade Olusola, encouraged the beneficiaries to remain prayerful, focused and studious throughout their university education.

She urged them not to settle for mediocre academic performance but to strive for excellent results, including graduating with First Class or Second Class Upper honours.

Similarly, the Director of Finance and Supplies, Ibadan North Local Government, Mr. Oluseyi, advised the students to remain committed to their studies and make their parents proud.

He described the scholarship as a rare opportunity and urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of it while striving to achieve greatness in life.

The parents of the beneficiaries, who were present at the presentation, expressed appreciation to the Oyo State Government for providing the scholarship opportunity for their children.

They also commended the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, for what they described as his commitment to youth and educational development.

They prayed for the continued success of his administration.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Adeyemo Michael Inioluwa expressed gratitude to the Oyo State Government and Governor Seyi Makinde for the scholarship opportunity.

He pledged that the beneficiaries would remain committed to their studies and ensure that they make the state, Ibadan North Local Government, their parents and themselves proud at the end of their academic programmes.

The six beneficiaries and their courses are:

1. Bakare Faith Olamiposi — Software Engineering (4 years)
