Ibadan North Council Chairman, Olufade Bags Grassroots Youth Impact Award From NUJ BCOS Chapel

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has been honoured with the Grassroots Youth Impact Award by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) Chapel, in recognition of his meritorious service and outstanding commitment to grassroots development.

The prestigious award was presented during the 2025 End-of-Year Party of the NUJ BCOS Chapel, held at the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS).

The award was formally received on behalf of the Chairman by the Head of Local Government Administration (HLGA), Ibadan North Local Government, Deacon Olabode Abayomi Ajebisi.

Presenting the award, the Chairperson of the BCOS Board, Chief (Mrs.) Dotun Olaitan, commended Hon. Olufade for his people-centred leadership style, particularly his impactful engagement with youths and his unwavering dedication to good governance at the grassroots level.

Speaking while receiving the award, Deacon Olabode Abayomi Ajebisi expressed profound gratitude to the organisers for finding the Executive Chairman worthy of the honour.

He described Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade as an amazing, sagacious, hardworking, and visionary leader, whose administration continues to set a standard in responsive governance.

Deacon Ajebisi also appreciated the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, for the opportunity given to Hon. Olufade to serve and showcase his leadership capacity in Ibadan North Local Government.

According to him, the award will further motivate the Executive Chairman to deepen his commitment to the development of Ibadan North, strengthen youth-focused initiatives, and continue to serve as a shining ambassador of good governance.

The Head of Local Government Administration was joined at the event by the Head of Media to the Executive Chairman, Aderibigbe Yisahu, as they jointly received the award on behalf of Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade.
