Appointed four months ago, Hon. Salami inherited a club that had experienced visible decline both on and off the pitch. According to him, the reorganization cuts across all aspects of the club; including human resources, technical departments, player management, processes, procurement, and overall administration. The club now operates under a dual administrative system where the Chief Operating Officer (COO) oversees all back-office operations such as branding, marketing, ticketing, logistics, and fleet management, while the Sporting Director is responsible for technical affairs including player recruitment, welfare, coaching development, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Hon. Salami further explained that this system ensures specialization, better oversight, and smoother coordination between the business and sporting arms of the club.

Looking beyond immediate challenges, the Shooting Stars boss outlined a clear long-term vision anchored on youth development, infrastructure growth, and strategic partnerships.

Salami revealed that Shooting Stars is considering the establishment of a female football team to compete in the Nigeria Women’s Football League in the coming years.
