Bayo/Bimpe Oyero Foundation BoT Member, Mr. Muhammed Oladejo Donates Books to Ona Ara Local Government Library

In a laudable act of community service and educational empowerment, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Bayo and Bimpe Oyero Foundation, Mr. Olatunji Muhammed Oladejo, JP, mnipr, has donated a rich collection of books valued at over ₦500,000 to the Ona Ara Local Government Library.

During the presentation, Mr. Oladejo expressed deep admiration for the Executive Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS, noting that his respect for the Chairman dates back to one of Dr. Glorious’ radio appearances during the electioneering campaigns. He said, “I was inspired by Dr. Temitope Kolapo’s vision and passion for grassroots development, and I promised myself to support his administration once he emerged victorious. I also made a commitment during the inauguration of the Bayo and Bimpe Oyero Foundation and its scholarship scheme to present these books for the intellectual benefit of Ona Ara residents.”

Mr. Oladejo further proposed the creation of a ‘Bayo and Bimpe Oyero Foundation Corner’ within the Local Government Library, where the donated books would be displayed with the donor’s name, as a tribute to Chief Mustapha Bayo Oyero’s remarkable contributions to the growth and development of Ona Ara and Ibadanland. He also pledged to make further donations if the books are put to effective use by readers and students.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Ajibola Abimbola, Personal Assistant to Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS, expressed gratitude to the donor. He stated that Dr. Glorious, as an educationist, holds books and learning resources in high esteem, and assured that the materials would be properly utilized for the academic and intellectual advancement of Ona Ara indigenes.

Also in attendance were the President of Ona Ara Development Forum (ODF), Alhaji Kola Bolomope, who praised the donor’s generosity, and Aare Alawode Rahmon Akintunde, who described the gesture as a shining example of meaningful partnership between private citizens and government in fostering community progress.

The presentation once again underscored the collaborative spirit between Ona Ara Local Government and dedicated individuals who share a vision of promoting education and sustainable development in the area.
