The Vice Chairman of Egbeda Local Government & the Political Head/Administrator, Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo Simple, has been awarded the Patron of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Oki, Olodo, Zone 20, on Saturday.
The Olodo zonal Chairman, Reverend Ojekunle, appreciated Hon. Simple for honouring the invitation and also acknowledged his sense of humanity and responsibility. He further added that, in the past 30 years, many Chairmen had been invited but failed to honour the invitation by attending.
Meanwhile, Rev Ojekunle, admonished christians and muslims to move closer to God, referenced James: Chapter 4 Verse 8 as the basis for the teaching.
In response, the Council boss, thanked the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Zone 20, for honouring him and promised not to let them down. He was later presented with a certificate of honour as Patron of the Association.
In entourage were, the Director of Administration and General Services, Pastor Adelu V.A, Director of Education & Social Services, Mr. Olumuyiwa Olayiwola, the internal Auditor, Prince Adeyemo Gabriel and Personal Assistant to the Political Head, Mr. Idris Oyedeji, all accompanied the Vice Chairman to the church event.
