The Executive Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government Area, Hon. Lateef Adebare, convened a pivotal security meeting at his office. In attendance were Divisional Police Officers (DPOs),Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Department of State Services (DSS), the Amotekun Corps, traditional rulers, and representatives of KAI Security.

The Chairman noted that the current situation in Oyo State calls for intensified vigilance, stronger coordination, and seamless communication among all security actors and community stakeholders. He emphasized that securing Ibarapa North requires a united, proactive, and intelligence-driven approach.
At the meeting, the Executive Chairman stressed that the best way to secure our community is for everyone to “See Something, Say Something.” He urged traditional rulers to notify residents of Ibarapa North to promptly report suspicious activities and to support security agencies with timely information that can help prevent crime.

After exhaustive deliberations, the following resolutions were unanimously reached:
1. Intelligence sharing among stakeholders.
2. Strengthening synergy among security agencies.
3. Combing and monitoring of forest areas.
4. Support for all security operations in the Local Government.
5. Movement restrictions and stop-and-search operations both during the day and at night.


The meeting concluded with a collective resolve by all committee members to sustain continuous engagement and cooperation toward ensuring lasting peace, safety, and socio-economic development in Ibarapa North Local Government.


Security agencies commended the proactive leadership and support of the Executive Chairman in prioritizing security matters and pledged their continuous support for all initiatives aimed at safeguarding the lives and property of residents.


The meeting ended successfully with prayers for peace, progress, and stability in Ibarapa North Local Government, Oyo State, and Nigeria, offered by the Chief Imam and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Chairman.
