Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the 2023 general election, Hon. Lanre Sarumi, has congratulated Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Abiodun Makinde, and his wife, Engr. Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, on their conferment and installation as Aare Soludero and Yeye Aare Soludero of Ibarapaland, respectively.
The prestigious titles were conferred on the governor and his wife by the Eleruwa of Eruwa, His Royal Highness, Oba Samuel Adegbola, in recognition of their standing and relationship with the people and traditional institutions of Ibarapaland.
In a statement made available to Naija24hrs News, Sarumi described the conferment as a moment of immense pride for the Makinde family and a significant acknowledgement of the cordial relationship between the governor, his family and the traditional institutions and people of Oyo State.
He noted that the chieftaincy titles reflected the respect, goodwill and acceptance enjoyed by Governor Makinde and his wife among traditional rulers and communities across the state.
Sarumi further described the honour as a fitting recognition of Governor Makinde’s contributions to the development, unity and progress of Oyo State, while commending the Eleruwa of Eruwa for finding the governor and his wife worthy of the prestigious traditional titles.
He congratulated the governor and his wife on the historic occasion and prayed for continued wisdom, good health and success as they continue to contribute to the growth and development of Oyo State.
He also wished the Makinde family many more years of fruitful service, honour and positive impact on the people.
