With a heavy heart, Hon. Lanre Sarumi, the PDP candidate for Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the last general election, expresses profound sorrow over the passing of Chief Yekini Adeojo, a beloved father, mentor, and guide.

In his message, Hon. Sarumi described Chief Adeojo as more than just a political figure; he was a father whose loss has created a deep and irreplaceable void in his life and the lives of countless others. Hon. Sarumi fondly reflected on the late Chief Adeojo’s wise counsel, unwavering support, and the love he shared with those around him, particularly those who were fortunate enough to call him a mentor.
“Chief Adeojo was not only a leader but a father to me,” Hon. Sarumi shared. “He was always there with words of wisdom and encouragement, shaping me in ways I will forever be grateful for. His influence went beyond politics, he had a profound effect on my life personally, and on many others who had the privilege of knowing him.”

Hon. Sarumi also took time to acknowledge the immense contributions Chief Adeojo made to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the state of Oyo. “Chief Adeojo was a towering figure in the political landscape of our state and nation. His dedication to the progress of Oyo State and his pivotal role in shaping the PDP’s direction were invaluable. As the former Deputy National Vice Chairman (South) of our party, his leadership and commitment to our cause were unmatched. His efforts were not just about the party’s success, but about ensuring that our state and country moved forward in the right direction.”

“Chief Adeojo’s absence leaves an unfillable gap,” Sarumi said. “His legacy is not just in his political achievements but in the love, support, and wisdom he extended to all of us who were lucky enough to know him.”

Hon. Sarumi offered his heartfelt prayers for the departed soul, praying that Allah grants him eternal peace in Aljana Fida’u. He also extended his prayers to the Adeojo family, asking that they find strength and comfort in the midst of this irreplaceable loss.
“Chief Adeojo’s spirit and legacy will live on in all of us who loved him. May his soul rest in peace, and may Allah grant peace and solace to us his family and all those who mourn his passing.
