Gov Makinde’s Appointments, A Vote of Confidence For Ibadan North —Oyo Agency for Youth Chair Adebowale

The Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed articulate sons of Ibadan North local government into the strategic position by the Governor of Oyo State, Engr ‘Seyi Makinde.

According to the release by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, the newly appointed officials include Hon. Adeniyi Adeyinka Kazim Bibire, the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Govenor, Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami, who emerged as the new Chairman of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) following the board’s dissolution; Hon. Kabiru Salami, a retired police officer appointed as Executive Assistant on Security Coordination; and Hon. Waheed Adeniyi, who was named Chairman of the Oyo State Waste Management Authority.

In a statement released and made available to newsmen by the Head of Media Unit to the Chairman, Opeyemi Rasheed Socrates on Monday, Hon. Adebowale applauded His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde for a well-deserved appointment roll out to exceptional personalities in Ibadan North.

Adebowale noted that Governor Makinde’s selection reflected competence and a commitment to long-term development, extending appreciation to the governor for placing trust in individuals with strong track records in public service.

“These annals of appointment by the Governor really show the special package of development, continuous unity, and Progress for all party members of the People’s Democratic Party in Ibadan North local government. We’re indeed in a joyous mood with strong hope that, come August 16, 2025, we’ll deliver Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle Don as the federal lawmaker representing Ibadan North federal Constituency.”

He said the appointments continue Makinde’s strategic policy of deploying experienced hands with grassroots familiarity and technical competence in pivotal roles across the state apparatus.

Adebowale further urged the new appointees to see their elevation as a renewed call to serve and to justify the confidence reposed in them through loyalty, effectiveness, and accountability.

However, according to the letter released by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Segun Ogunwuyi, the appointments take effect immediately and were made public by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju.
