Honourable Represent the good Peoples Of Ibadan Southwest Constituency2, Hon Betterlife, has enjoined Ibadan Southwest Constituency2 residents and Christians across the Oyo State to emulate Jesus Christ’s example of selfless sacrifice as espoused in commemoration of Good Friday.
The Hon Betterlife made this call in a goodwill message to mark the 2025 Good Friday celebrations, scheduled for Friday, 18th April 2025.
“Christ’s messages, according to the Bible, brought the world a new consciousness; in every one of His messages, He cited living examples on how we, humans, should live in a divine union with God, and, significantly, how we should show respect for each other, if we are to continue to survive on this planet.
“All of the events leading up to the crucifixion of Christ speak volumes as to the character of the man.
“There are many lessons to be learnt from the life of Christ; Lessons of Love, Forgiveness, Perseverance, Faith and Hope,” Hon Babalola said.
The Hon Betterlife observed that, Ibadan Southwest Constituency2, Oyo State and the nation as a whole need continuous prayer to overcome their myriad of challenges, also tasked citizens to eschew bitterness by preaching the gospel of peace, love and unity and not allow themselves to be divided by religious bigotry or ethnic affiliation.
“Let us pay spiritual attention to His messages of Faith and Hope, as we pray for a united Nigeria,” he added.
