The Forum of Secretaries to the Local Governments in Oyo State has commended Governor Seyi Makinde and the security agencies for securing the safe release of the pupils and teachers abducted from Ahoro Esinelẹ Community in Oriire Local Government Area after 55 days in captivity.
The commendation was contained in a statement jointly signed by the Forum Coordinator, Mrs. Aworele Temitope Alice, who described the successful rescue as a great relief to the affected families, the Ahoro Esinelẹ Community, and the entire people of Oyo State.
According to the statement, the Forum praised Governor Makinde for his unwavering commitment to the security of lives and property, noting that the successful rescue reflects the effectiveness of the state’s security architecture and the government’s determination to ensure that no resident is abandoned in times of distress.
The Forum also applauded the gallant efforts of the security agencies, whose professionalism, dedication, and collaboration made the safe release of the victims possible. It noted that the operation has restored hope and confidence among residents in the ability of the government and security agencies to tackle security challenges.

The Forum expressed gratitude that the pupils and teachers were reunited with their families safely and prayed for continued peace, security, and development across Oyo State.
