The Eruwa-Ojoko Youth Development Mission (formerly Eruwa Youth Movement) proudly celebrates the well-deserved promotion of Major-General Remi Fadairo, a distinguished son of Eruwa whose outstanding military career serves as a source of immense pride and inspiration for the people of Eruwa and the entire Ibarapa region. His remarkable achievements reinforce our belief in excellence, discipline, and commitment to national service.

Speaking with newsmen on Sunday evening, the youth group in a statement made available through her National President, Comrade Kazeem Tijani on Sunday stated the military attainment is inspiring to the Eruwa community and Ibarapa region at large.

Tijani characterized Major-General Fadairo’s journey in the Nigerian Army has been defined by brilliance, dedication, and unwavering patriotism. From his early military training at the prestigious Nigerian Military School, Zaria, to furthering his academic pursuit at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where he studied Applied Geophysics, he laid a solid foundation for a distinguished career. He later proceeded to the Nigerian Defence Academy, where he was part of the Short Service Course 1986. His exceptional performance led him to the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, one of the most esteemed military academies in the world. There, he made history by winning the highly coveted Overseas Sword of Honour in December 2008 as the Best Overseas Student, a feat that brought international recognition to Nigeria.

Commissioned into the Nigerian Army Infantry Corps, Major-General Fadairo has excelled in various strategic military assignments, undertaking advanced training courses and leading critical operations such as Zama Lafia and Lafia Dole, among others. His vast experience and expertise have contributed significantly to Nigeria’s security and military intelligence.

His success is a rallying point for the youth of Eruwa and Ibarapa, proving that with resilience, focus, and integrity, greatness is within reach. His story is not just an individual achievement but a motivation for young people to strive for excellence in their careers and nation-building efforts.

As a progressive body, we celebrate this historic milestone and commend Major-General Fadairo for his dedication, leadership, and service to the nation. We stand proudly with him and pray for greater successes in his illustrious career. His achievements will continue to inspire generations to come.
