Hon. Ganiy Abiodun Omotosho, the Chairmanship Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for Ibadan North-West Local Government, has engaged party members and stakeholders in Idi-Ishin Jericho Ward 10 as part of his continuous grassroots consultations and efforts to strengthen the party ahead of the forthcoming elections.
During the engagement, Omotosho highlighted some of the achievements recorded by the local government administration under the leadership of Executive Chairman Hon. Rahman Adepoju, with Omotosho serving as Vice Chairman. He also acknowledged the good governance initiatives of Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, noting the importance of sustained leadership and development in advancing the interests of residents.
The chairmanship candidate called on residents to support the APM’s candidates across all levels, promoting the campaign slogan “APM Top to Bottom.” The candidates include Engr. Seyi Makinde for President, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi for Governor of Oyo State, Hon. Dhikrullah Olajide Odidi-Omo for Oyo South Senatorial District, Dr. Akin Fagbemi for the House of Representatives, Hon. Olayinka Gbolahan Ibikunle for the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Ganiy Omotosho for Chairman of Ibadan North-West Local Government, and the party’s 11 councillorship candidates.
The engagement forms part of ongoing efforts to mobilise support and strengthen the party’s grassroots structures ahead of the announced election dates: December 29, 2026, for the Oyo State local government elections; January 16, 2027, for the presidential, senatorial and House of Representatives elections; and February 6, 2027, for the governorship and State House of Assembly elections. Omotosho urged members to remain united, committed and actively involved in the campaign for the success of all APM candidates.
