The Jagaban of the 9th and 10th Assembly and Honourable Member representing Ibadan North Constituency 2 in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adebayo Babajide Gabriel, has congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Mawlud.
In his goodwill message, Hon. Gabriel noted that the commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is not just a spiritual event but a profound call to live by the timeless virtues of truthfulness, humility, tolerance, and compassion which the Prophet embodied.
He urged Muslims across Ibadan North and Oyo State to draw inspiration from the Prophet’s exemplary leadership and service to humanity, stressing that these values remain key to building a just and progressive society.
“As we celebrate Eid-el-Mawlud, let us embrace the lessons of the Prophet’s life—love for our neighbors, patience in adversity, and unwavering devotion to Allah.
By doing so, we will strengthen unity, promote peace, and support the visionary leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde in advancing development across our state,” Hon. Gabriel said.
He prayed for continued peace, prosperity, and divine blessings upon Ibadan North Constituency 2, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large, while wishing the Muslim faithful a joyous and spiritually enriching Eid-el-Mawlud celebration.
