The Member representing Ibadan South-West Constituency II at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Oluwafemi Betterlife Fowokanmi, has extended warm greetings to Muslims across the world on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, a celebration commemorating Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering obedience to Allah (SWT).

In his goodwill message, Honourable Fowokanmi praised the exemplary virtues of Prophet Ibrahim, who demonstrated absolute devotion and submission to God’s will:
> “Today, we remember the virtues of total devotion, loyalty, sacrifice, and love that Prophet Ibrahim embodied. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all Muslims, especially the Muslim Ummah in Ibadan South-West Constituency II and across Oyo State.”

He called on Nigerians to imbibe these noble qualities in their everyday lives, urging citizens to renew their commitment to peaceful coexistence, mutual love, and national development.

> “To build a renewed and hopeful Nigeria, we must all commit ourselves to love, sacrifice, and collective responsibility. These values are essential for national progress and unity.”

Honourable Fowokanmi also addressed the current economic challenges facing the nation, urging the people of Oyo State and beyond not to lose hope:
> “Let me encourage our people not to be discouraged by the present economic difficulties. These are temporary hardships that will eventually give way to a better and more prosperous life. The ongoing reforms are necessary for long-term growth and development.”

While wishing Muslims a joyful and peaceful celebration, he advised moderation and reflection as key elements of the holy festival:
> “As we celebrate Eid, let us do so in moderation and in the spirit of the occasion—peace, sacrifice, and gratitude.”
