Executive Chairman of Ibadan South West Local Government, Hon. Kehinde Adeyemi Akande, has extended warm Eid al-Adha greetings to the Muslim Ummah, particularly members of the Ibadan South West Local Government (IBSWLG) community.

In his Eid al-Adha message, Hon. Akande emphasized the importance of embracing love, peace, and unity during this auspicious occasion.

According to Hon. Akande, Eid al-Adha is a time for reflection, gratitude, and togetherness. He urged Muslims to embody the values of sacrifice, compassion, and kindness that define the celebration. “As we commemorate the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son, let us also reflect on the values of love, peace, and unity that bring us closer to Allah and to each other,” he said.

Hon. Akande’s message highlighted the significance of Eid al-Adha, which is celebrated to commemorate the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ismail in obedience to Allah’s command.

He noted that the occasion serves as a reminder of the importance of submission to Allah’s will and the values of compassion, kindness, and generosity.

The chairman’s call for love, peace, and unity resonated with the Muslim community, who are celebrating Eid al-Adha with great fervor and enthusiasm.
