In the spirit of compassion, sacrifice, and community service that defines the Eid al-Adha celebration, the Friends of Deji Ola Foundation has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to humanity by reaching out to vulnerable residents across several communities in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The humanitarian outreach, which commenced in the early hours of the day, covered parts of Ibadan North, Ibadan North-East, and Egbeda Local Government Areas, bringing relief, hope, and smiles to numerous households amid the current economic realities facing the country.

The initiative, spearheaded by Prince Adeyemo Adedeji Ola, popularly known as Deji Ola, further reinforces the foundation’s growing reputation as one of the emerging grassroots-driven humanitarian organizations in Oyo State, consistently championing people-centered interventions targeted at improving the lives of underserved members of society.

Residents and beneficiaries who spoke during the outreach commended the initiative, describing it as timely, thoughtful, and impactful, especially during a festive season when many families struggle to meet basic needs.

Speaking during the exercise, the Convener of the Foundation, Prince Adeyemo Adedeji Ola, who also serves as Special Assistant on Political Matters to Governor Seyi Makinde, expressed appreciation to friends, donors, and volunteers who continue to support the humanitarian vision of the organization.

According to him, giving back to society remains one of the most fulfilling responsibilities of leadership and humanity.

“There is always a deep sense of fulfillment in seeing smiles on the faces of people through the little support we are able to provide. This vision would not have been possible without the support of friends, donors, and volunteers who genuinely believe in humanity and community service,” he stated.

He noted that the Friends of Deji Ola Foundation has, over time, continued to champion impactful community-based initiatives aimed at empowering young people and supporting vulnerable groups across Oyo State.

Some of the notable initiatives of the organization include One Book, One Pen Project, Clothe the Needy Campaign, Mega Skills Empowerment Programme, Novelty Match of Hope, Free Tutorials for Students, and the Food Bank Initiative, among several other interventions tailored toward social development and youth empowerment.

Ola further acknowledged the enabling environment created by the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde, noting that it has inspired many young leaders and volunteers to contribute meaningfully to societal growth and humanitarian development.

He added that the organization remains committed to expanding its outreach efforts through more impactful programmes designed to uplift vulnerable individuals and strengthen community support systems across the state.

While concluding, he offered prayers for the safe return of the abducted children and teachers from Orire Local Government Area, while also sympathizing with the families of the deceased teachers affected by the unfortunate incident.

The Eid al-Adha outreach once again reflects the Foundation’s enduring philosophy that sustainable leadership is rooted in compassion, service, and a genuine commitment to humanity.
