As Muslims around the world celebrate Eid-al-Adha, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan South West Local Government, Honourable Kehinde Akande has extend warm greetings to the Muslim community. In a statement, Hon. Akande felicitates with the faithful in his local government on this joyous occasion, urging them to embrace the values of reflection, devotion, and joy that define the festival.
“Eid-al-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son Ismail (Ishmael) in obedience to Allah’s command. This profound act of faith and submission is a powerful reminder of the importance of surrendering to God’s will and trusting in His divine plan.
Hon. Akande encourages Muslims to reflect on their lives, rekindle their devotion to their faith, and rejoice in the blessings and mercies of Allah.
