In his commitments to compliment the state government efforts at ensuring that the improved health care delivery system is taken to the doorstep of our people.

The Executive Chairman of Egbeda local government, Hon Sanda Sikiru Oyedele officially commissioned the newly renovated aged clinic and handed over the refurbished ambulance in commemoration of 2025 Workers Day Celebration to Primary Health Care Centre in Egbeda local government.

In his keynote address, the chairman stated,”I am compassionate about the downtrodden by not rest in my oars to make life more meaningful to staff, aged, especially the less privileged to have accessibility to free health care services within the council area, because a healthy population is the key to fighting poverty and driving economic growth”.

Hon. Sanda acknowledged Governor Makinde’s leadership said, “the present administration in Oyo State has overhauled health sector in every ramifications through construction of Primary Health Care Centres across the 351 wards in the 33 local government of Oyo State and the recent flagged off of the first quarter, 2025 Omituntun Free Medical Mission in the 33 local government areas of Oyo State.

All these interventions in the health sector have yielded positive results in improving the health care delivery system in Oyo State”.

He appealed to everybody to cooperate with health personnel by avail themselves to check their blood pressure, fastening blood sugar, and all other tests to know their state of health and necessary treatment required for survival.

In their separate remarks, Executive Secretary, Oyo State Primary Health Care Board, Dr. Muideen Olatunji and Chairman House Committee on Health at Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Saminu Rilwan Gbadamosi commended the chairman for the infrastructural upgrade, provision of relevant equipment and commitment to human capacity development towards the people at the grassroot in order to provide quality health care service delivery.

It was enumerated that other chairmen and well-to-do people should emulate the council boss, HON. SANDA to take the health welfare of his people as priority. Many other health support programmes that had been embarked upon by Hon. Sanda was also highlighted.

Dignitaries at the event included, chairman house committee on health, OYHA, Hon. Saminu Rilwan Gbadamosi, Deputy Majority Leader at OYHA, Hon. Olasunkanmi Olawale Babalola, Executive Secretary Oyo State Primary Health Care Board, Dr. Muideen Olatunji, Vice Chairman/Political Head Ajorosun LCDA, Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo Simple, Leader of the Legislative, Egbeda LG, Hon. Olusola Olakanmi, Secretary to the LG, Mrs Temitope Aworele, HLGA, Alhaja Dr. Alaga Ayo Monsurat, AgHLGA Alhaji Babatunde Ganiyu, councilors, Supervisors, Special Assistants, PHC Coordinator, Mrs Olaniyan, Heads of Departments, traditional council, political stalwarts, and members of staff as well as the members of local government pensioners in the local government.
