The Deputy Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Abiodun Fadeyi has promised Chairman Oyo State Hospital Management Board and his team continuous support from the state House of assembly in ensuring speedy passage of bills related to the board and the healthcare sector.

Hon. Fadeyi made the promised while he paid an official visit to the Chairman Oyo State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Akin Fagbemi today in his office and his Management team.

Hon. Fadeyi Commended the Chairman for turn-around achieved under his leadership since his appointment as Executive Chairman of OYSHMB.

He also appreciated Governor Makinde for his efforts in improving the healthcare sector, citing the recent recruitment exercise at OYSHMB and the State Primary Health Care Board.

In his reaction, The Chairman Oyo State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Akin Fagbemi praised Hon. Fadeyi for his cooperation with the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, and the executive arm of the government in maintaining peace in the state.

He stated that the board had revitalized some hospitals, implemented various programs, and achieved accreditation for the Physiotherapy department after 30 years.

Dr. Fagbemi appreciated Governor Makinde’s support for the healthcare sector, including the recruitment of health workers and prompt payment of minimum wages.

In her Goodwill message, The Permanent Secretary of OYSHMB, Dr. Anifat Ibraheem, thanked Hon. Fadeyi for his visit and prayed for his continued strength and wisdom to move the State House of Assembly forward.
