The Oyo State Community and Social Development Agency (OYCSDA) has joined the people of Oyo State and Ibadanland in mourning the passing of a highly revered elder statesman and political icon, Chief Yekini Adeojo.

In a heartfelt tribute, the Chairman of OYCSDA, Hon. Abideen Adeaga, described Chief Adeojo’s demise as a monumental loss, not just to his immediate community but to the entire state.
“Chief Yekini Adeojo was more than a political leader; he was a pillar of wisdom, a custodian of tradition, and a staunch advocate for community development.

His contributions to the growth of Ibadanland and Oyo State are indelible. We have lost a titan whose life was dedicated to the upliftment of the people,” Hon. Adeaga stated.

Chief Adeojo was known for his unwavering commitment to grassroots development, social justice, and the promotion of harmony across diverse communities.

His role in shaping the political landscape of Oyo State remains a benchmark for leadership and public service.
Hon. Adeaga further noted that Chief Adeojo’s support for initiatives geared toward rural development and empowerment had a lasting impact.
“He was a man of vision, who believed in giving back to the society that raised him. His legacy will continue to inspire generations,” he said.
As OYCSDA mourns this irreplaceable loss, the agency extends its deepest condolences to the Adeojo family, the government and people of Oyo State, and all who benefited from Chief Adeojo’s vast reservoir of wisdom and service.
