A High Court in Ibadan, Oyo State has affirmed the selection and appointment of Alhaji Abdulkareem Abdulsalam Olore as the Chief Imam of Eruwa Central Mosque.

While delivering judgement on the case instituted by Alhaji (Khalifa) Isiaq Adesina, family of the Late Chief Imam, the Honourable Justice Olusola Adebisi Adetujoye of the High Court of Justice, Oyo State dismissed the case, affirmed the selection, appointment, eligibility and turbaning process of Alhaji Abdulkareem Olore.

The furore followed the death of the former Chief Imam, Alhaji Yakub Adesina.

The family of the Late Chief Imam had since 2020 filed a case, challenging the selection and appointment process of Alhaji Abdulkareem Olore as the Chief Imam of the Eruwa Central Mosque, following the turbaning ceremony which was done on the 7th of December, 2020.

However, the legal battle with suit number HER/6/2020 was laid to rest on Wednesday, 18th September, 2024 at Court 5 of the Oyo State High Court, Ring Road, Ibadan, when the Lead Counsel, Justice O.A. Adetujoye strike out the case filed by the family of the Late Chief Imam.
