The member of the House of Representatives representing Ibadan South East/North East Federal Constituency, Rep. Abass Adigun Agboworin, has felicitated with Christians in Nigeria, on the occasion celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
He urged them to remain hopeful for a better 2025.
In a Christmas message issued on Tuesday to celebrate his constituents and Nigerians at large, Agboworin acknowledged the challenges faced by the country in 2024 but expressed optimism that 2025 would be a better year.
Agboworin, who is the Chairman of House Committee on Narcotic Drugs, urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and united in the face of challenges, saying that the country would overcome its current difficulties and emerge stronger.
The lawmaker also used the opportunity to appreciate his constituents for their support and encouragement throughout the year.
The two term lawmaker also urged them to remember the less privileged and vulnerable members of society, and to extend kindness and generosity to those in need.
He said: “I want to felicitate with our Christian brothers and sisters on the occasion of this year’s Christmas. As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, let us remember the values of love, kindness, and compassion that he taught us.
“We have faced many challenges this year, but let us be hopeful that 2025 would be better. Let us continue to love ourselves, support one another, and work together towards a brighter future for our country.
“I want to thank my constituents for their unwavering support and cooperation.
“I promise to continue working tirelessly to represent your interests and address your concerns.
“Merry Christmas to all Nigerians, and I wish you a happy and prosperous New Year.”
