Children’s Day: Hon. Fowokanmi Calls For Joint Effort To Give Children Brighter Future

The lawmaker representing Ibadan South West state constituency 2 in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Oluwafemi Oluwafowokanmi, has called for joint efforts between the government and the parents to give the children a brighter future.

Hon. Fowokanmi, who is the Chairman, House Standing Committee on Tertiary Education, in his message to commemorate the celebration of this year’s Children’s Day, said that parents must be ready to complement the government’s efforts in order to provide the children a safe environment and better future they deserved.

He said that Governor Seyi Makinde led government understanding the importance of education as the bedrock of any society, hence the reason it left no stone unturned to raise the standard of education in the state.

Hon. Fowokanmi also emphasized that the state House of Assembly under the speakership of Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin will continue to give legislative support to ensure that the rights of children are well promoted and protected in the state.

The Vice Chairman House Standing Committee on Basic Education also assured children in his constituency that their interest in the actualization of their dreams will be protected under his watch.

While felicitating with children on the 2025 Children’s Day, Hon. Fowokanmi charged parents to indulge their children with values of honesty, modesty and hard work for them to be good ambassadors of the respective families.
