Children’s Day: Hon. (Dr.) Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji (OTOPE), Celebrates Future Leaders, Applauds Gov. Makinde’s Free Shuttle Initiative

The Director-General of the Oyo State Liaison Office for Abuja and Lagos and House of Representatives hopeful for Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, Hon. Chief (Dr.) Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji (OTOPE), has commended Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his continued commitment to improving the welfare of children and students in the state.

In his Children’s Day message released on Tuesday, Dr. Oladimeji expressed deep appreciation for the Governor’s recent approval of the Omituntun Free Shuttle Scheme, which officially commenced today, Tuesday, May 27, 2025. The scheme allows all uniformed students in Oyo State to enjoy free daily transportation to and from school.

“This is a monumental step towards easing the burden on parents and ensuring that our students, especially those in public schools, have safe, reliable, and free access to education,” Dr. Oladimeji stated.

He praised Governor Makinde for his visionary leadership, noting that initiatives like this demonstrate a genuine concern for the educational and socio-economic needs of the people.

“The Omituntun Free Shuttle is not just a policy; it is a lifeline for countless families and a huge encouragement for students. On behalf of the good people of Egbeda and Ona-Ara, I say thank you to His Excellency for always putting the future of our children first,” he added.

As part of his broader Children’s Day remarks, Dr. Oladimeji also reiterated his commitment to ensuring that children remain a top priority in his legislative agenda if elected.
