The Chairman of the Organizing Committee for Davido’s 5ive Concert in Oyo State, Mr. Tony Awobode, popularly known as Don Tee, has reaffirmed the committee’s dedication to promoting homegrown talents and projecting them onto the global entertainment scene.
Speaking during a media briefing while discussing with the select topmost artist in Ibadan, Don Tee disclosed that the committee has meticulously selected some of the most outstanding young entertainers from across the state to participate in the concert, noting that the initiative aligns with the Oyo State Government’s commitment to youth empowerment through creative arts.
He emphasized that the platform would not only showcase the depth of talent within the state but also allow emerging artists to network, learn, and compete favorably with their counterparts on the international stage.
> “We are deliberate about discovering and nurturing the next generation of stars. The Davido 5ive Concert is more than an entertainment event, it’s a gateway for our local performers to gain global visibility,” he stated.
Don Tee commended the Oyo State Government under the visionary leadership of His Excellency Engr ‘Seyi Makinde and stakeholders in the entertainment industry for their continuous support, assuring that the event would further strengthen the state’s reputation as a hub for creative excellence.
He also hinted that the concert, which will feature top-tier performances and cultural showcases, is expected to attract massive attendance from within and beyond the state, ultimately boosting tourism and the local economy.

DJ SECXY:
DJ Secxy, popularly known as King DJ Secxy, is a leading Nigerian DJ and music producer celebrated for his creativity and consistency. Notably, he performed at the iconic P-Square show in 2006 and currently holds residencies at Kokodome, Neptune Lounge, and Sublime Lounge in Ibadan. DJ Trech is a dynamic Ibadan-based Nigerian DJ known for his electrifying energy and seamless fusion of Afrobeats, Amapiano, and Hip-Hop. A key figure in Southwest Nigeria’s entertainment scene, he has sustained the popular Trech Balcony Monday-night movement for over three years and performed at top venues like Obi’s House and Zero Gravity. DJ Lobitz (Ogundipe Olalekan Olutoba) is a renowned Nigerian DJ and sound professional celebrated for his creativity, precision, and electrifying performances. Known as “Da Beat Twister,” he’s the founder of DBT Sounds and resident DJ at Jamz 100.1 FM, as well as a fan favorite at Clique69Club. DEFAMILY CREW
The Family Dance Crew is an Ibadan-based dance group specializing in Hip-Hop, Afro, and diverse dance styles. The crew rose to prominence across Ibadan and several Nigerian states for its unique composition, three talented siblings united by blood and a shared passion for dance. The group gained national recognition after featuring in Nigeria’s Got Talent (2014) as part of the Unique Dance Crew, and earlier in 2008, they appeared in Olu Maintain’s hit music video Yahooze, touring with him across different parts of Nigeria.
