In a recent ceremony held at the Oke Aremo palace, Alhaji Abdul Gafar Agbolagade Adelakun, affectionately known as Alhaji Ten Ten, was officially installed as the Mogaji of the Alaboto Okanto Compound in Apana, Foko, Ibadan.
The installation was conducted by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, further enriching the cultural tapestry of Ibadanland.
During his installation, Mogaji Alaboto pledged to uphold the traditions and values of Ibadanland, emphasizing the importance of using his new position to enhance the community’s cultural heritage rather than to intimidate or undermine others. “I am committed to fostering unity and promoting the positive legacies of Ibadanland during my reign,” Alhaji Agbolagade stated.
Expressing gratitude to the Olubadan and his family, he acknowledged the honor bestowed upon him, recognizing the collective effort of family members who considered him worthy of this prestigious role.
“There were many qualified individuals within our family, and I am deeply honored to have been chosen as their representative,” he conveyed.
Alhaji Ten Ten, a philanthropic figure, also extended his thanks to friends and family from Agbaje, Agbeni Market, and Idumota in Lagos for their unwavering support in making the installation a memorable celebration.
In response to this significant event, Mr. Olujide Gbenro, the Chief Executive Officer of BJORN GBENRO SERVICES, congratulated Mogaji AbdulGafar Agbolagade Olatunbosun and the entire Alaboto family.
