Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, assumed his position and has welcomed dignitaries from all walks of life—former governors, current governors, engineers, captains of industry, Obas, Mogajis, Baales, bankers, lawyers, business leaders, as well as pastors from South Africa and Nigeria, and imams, just to mention a few. For the first time a Senator and a Governor have risen to the revered position of Olubadan marking a historic moment in Ibadanland.

His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rasheed Akanmu Adewolu Ladoja the Arusa 1, has entered the final countdown toward his coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland with preparations now in top gear. His leadership promises a blend of tradition and modernity, reflecting both democratic values and royal authority.
He is the king of a megapolis where every native is regarded as a crown prince or princess, and his reign symbolizes unity and pride for all indigenes. He ascends the throne in a kingdom where there is no aggrieved royal family opposing the rightful succession of the next in line.

Oba Ladoja is a monarch with a spotless reputation free from litigation or fears that could undermine the longevity of his kingship. His rise to the throne comes through a democratic royal leadership system ensuring that the supreme royal headship is earned and respected.

He is the king of 63 towns and 3,069 villages, the heartland of the indomitable Yoruba warriors. His subjects have the privilege of appointing leaders who govern the legacy of old Yoruba empires, reflecting a deep respect for tradition and governance.
As the king of the political headquarters of the Yoruba race, may the reign of the new Olubadan bring hope, peace and prosperity to all residents of Ibadanland both indigenes and visitors. Long live His Imperial Majesty, #Arusa_1!
