In a powerful and inspiring moment during the Federation of Ibadan Students’ Union (FIBSU) inauguration ceremony held today, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, the Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, made a significant promise to support the educational pursuits of indigent students.
Addressing a crowd of enthusiastic and hopeful students, Hon. Kamorudeen publicly announced that students of FIBSU who are indigenes of Lagelu Local Government will benefit from a bursary payment within the next two months. This pledge was met with resounding applause and visible excitement from the audience, marking a turning point in the relationship between the government and the student community.

This announcement has sparked hope among many financially struggling students who view the bursary as a much needed support to ease their academic burdens. FIBSU executives also praised the Chairman’s promise, describing it as a step in the right direction and a reflection of responsive leadership.

In addition, he promised to always support every FIBSU events.
The inauguration ceremony, held at Ibadan House Oke Aremo brought together student leaders, government representatives, and other dignitaries. The event was filled with cultural displays, speeches, and a renewed sense of unity and purpose within the FIBSU body.
