Honourable Babatunde George Ige, popularly known as BGI, House of Assembly hopeful for Ibadan South West State Constituency II, has congratulated Oloye Nureni Akanbi, the Arole Iba Oluyole, on the occasion of his birthday.


In a goodwill message made available to newsmen on Sunday in Ibadan, BGI described Oloye Akanbi as a revered Ibadan traditional leader, and pillar of the community whose fatherly role and wise counsel continue to inspire generations.
“On behalf of my family, political associates, and the good people of Ibadan South West Constituency II, I heartily congratulate our father, Oloye Nureni Akanbi, the Arole Iba Oluyole, as he marks another year. He is a man of honour, culture, and unwavering commitment to Ibadanland,” BGI stated.

The Assembly hopeful further offered prayers for the celebrant, asking God to grant him renewed health, sound mind, and more fruitful years. “I pray that Almighty God will strengthen Baba, grant him renewed health, sound mind, and long life to continue his selfless service to Ibadanland, Oyo State, and humanity at large,” he added.


Hon. Babatunde George Ige, a youth advocate and community development enthusiast, restated his dedication to purposeful representation and grassroots empowerment as he engages stakeholders across Ibadan South West ahead of the 2027 elections.



Oloye Nureni Akanbi, a prominent Ibadan chief and influential voice in Oyo State, is widely celebrated for his contributions to tradition, peace-building, and youth development.
