As the holy month of Ramadan continues, the Hon. Babatunde George Ige (BGI), the local government coordinator for Governor Makinde re-election has embarked on a massive food item distribution exercise across 6 wards in Ibadan South West Local Government Area.

The exercise, which kicked off early on Saturday morning, saw the BGI team distributing essential food items to members of People’s Democratic Party of the local government area.

According to BGI , the initiative is aimed at supporting members of the party and Muslim community during the holy month of Ramadan.

“We understand that Ramadan is a period of fasting and spiritual reflection. The food item distribution exercise was well-received by ward chairmen who expressed their gratitude to the BGI team for their kindness and generosity.

“We are very grateful for this gesture,” said Aminat, a resident of Ward 9. “It’s not easy to think of others nowadays, especially during Ramadan. May God bless the BGI for his kindness.”

The BGI team distributed food items across all 6 wards in Ibadan South West Local Government Area, including Ward 7, Ward 8, Ward 9, Ward 10, Ward 11, and Ward 12.
