A leading grassroots politician and hopeful Chairman of Ido Local Government in 2027, Engr Oladimeji Olatilewa Ayinla, has commended the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, for the ongoing and completed rehabilitation of Elebu Road and BCJ Road, describing the intervention as timely and impactful.
In a statement released on Monday, Asiwaju Ayinla noted that the deplorable condition of the Elebu and BCJ roads had for several years constituted serious challenges to motorists, commuters, traders, and residents, thereby hampering economic activities and smooth movement within the axis.
He praised Governor Makinde for once again demonstrating responsive, people-centered leadership under the Omituntun agenda, stressing that the road rehabilitation reflects the administration’s commitment to addressing long-standing infrastructural needs.
According to him, the road projects will significantly ease traffic congestion, reduce travel time, enhance safety, boost local commerce, and improve the overall quality of life for residents in the area.
“Asiwaju Ayinla stated that Governor Makinde has consistently shown commitment to infrastructural development across Oyo State, irrespective of political considerations.
The fixing of Elebu and BCJ roads is a clear testament to his promise of inclusive governance,” the statement read.
He further urged residents to protect the newly rehabilitated roads and support the state government’s efforts by maintaining law and order during and after the construction period.
Asiwaju Ayinla reaffirmed his support for the Makinde-led administration and called on the state government to sustain the momentum by delivering more people-oriented projects across Ido Local Government and Oyo State at large.
