As Christians worldwide mark the beginning of the Lenten season, Hon. Gbenga Ayinde Adewusi ‘Arole’ extends warm Ash Wednesday greetings to all constituents.

“Today, we embark on a 40-day journey of prayer, fasting, and reflection. May this sacred period bring us closer to our Creator, foster a spirit of unity and compassion within our community, and guide us towards a deeper understanding of our faith,” said Hon. Gbenga Ayinde Adewusi ‘Arole’.

As we observe Ash Wednesday, let us remember the significance of this day. It is a reminder of our mortality and the need for reconciliation with God. As we receive the ashes on our foreheads, let us reflect on our lives and seek forgiveness for our sins.

“In this period of Lent, let us deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow in the footsteps of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us show compassion to the less privileged, the sick, and the needy. Let us be the light that shines in the darkness,” added Hon. Gbenga Ayinde Adewusi ‘Arole’.

As we journey through Lent, may we emerge stronger, more compassionate, and more faithful. May the blessings of the Almighty God be upon us all.
