Arsenal Supporters Club Nigeria Calls for Unity and Collective Progress

Arsenal Supporters Club Nigeria wishes to clarify its position following reports concerning the proposed launch of Arsenal Fans Club Nigeria, coordinated by Charles Ojugbana.

Our position is simple: we want unity, not division. We respect the right of all Arsenal fans to organise events and celebrate the club. However, the public should understand that Arsenal Fans Club Nigeria is not currently affiliated with Arsenal Supporters Club Nigeria.

Our History and Official Recognition

Arsenal Supporters Club Nigeria was duly established in 2004, officially approved by Arsenal Football Club in 2005, and registered with Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 2007.

These milestones reflect our organisation’s history and established structure. Our recognition and registration details can be verified directly through Arsenal Football Club’s official channels and the relevant CAC records. We remain committed to upholding the principles on which our organisation was founded, following the appropriate guidelines, promoting unity and strengthening the Arsenal supporters’ community across Nigeria.

Charles Ojugbana has communicated with our National Head, Emeka Onyenuforo, regarding the possibility of affiliation. We understand that he subsequently contacted Arsenal FC in London seeking recognition. In its response, Arsenal FC’s Supporter Liaison Officer, Mark Brindle, acknowledged the longstanding supporters’ club in Nigeria and referred him to Emeka Onyenuforo for further contact.

We believe the best way forward is for interested supporters to engage with our leadership, follow the appropriate guidelines and work together to strengthen the Arsenal family in Nigeria.

Arsenal Supporters Club Nigeria is a non-profit supporters’ organisation committed to promoting Arsenal, building community and supporting our members. Our focus is football, fellowship and community—not personal profit or partisan politics.

Our Focus: Representing Nigeria in Nairobi

We have important opportunities ahead that require our collective attention. Arsenal Supporters Club Nigeria has received an invitation from Arsenal Kenya to attend the Arsenal African Fans Festival in Nairobi in March 2027, during the Easter period.

Our priority should be to unite, plan effectively and represent Nigeria with pride among Arsenal supporters across Africa. We should channel our energy into preparing for this opportunity, strengthening our organisation and showcasing the passion of Nigerian Gooners.

We invite all genuine Arsenal supporters to work constructively with our leadership. Let us choose cooperation over division and put our shared love for Arsenal first.

ONE CLUB. ONE FAMILY. ONE ARSENAL NIGERIA.
