APM Strengthens Grassroots Base in Oyo, Inaugurates Coordinators, Deputies, Women, Youth Leaders and Secretaries for Presidential/Guber Campaign

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has inaugurated its Local Government Campaign Coordinators, Deputy Coordinators, Women Coordinators, Youth Coordinators and Secretaries across the 33 local government areas of Oyo State, in a grand ceremony held in Ibadan.

The inauguration marks a major step in strengthening the grassroots structure of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections, as APM intensifies mobilization across wards and polling units.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of APM Alliance , Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro, charged the newly inaugurated coordinators to be committed, loyal and dedicated to the cause of the party, noting that their role is critical to the success of the party at the grassroots.

He stated that APM remains the most formidable grassroots movement in Oyo State, built on the achievements and sustainable development agenda of Governor Seyi Makinde.

In his remarks, Oyo State APM Chairman Otunba Adegbenro Fagbemi, described the inauguration as historic, urging the coordinators to take the message of continuity and good governance to every corner of the state. He emphasized unity, discipline and hard work as key ingredients for victory.

Charging the newly sworn-in Local Government Campaign Councils, the DG of the Campaign Council, Dr. Nureni Adeniran, said they must remain steadfast and work in synergy with party structures, members and stakeholders for desired results.

He noted that their roles involve working for the presidential candidate, Governor Seyi Makinde, and the gubernatorial candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, adding that they should work seamlessly with all other candidates in their various local governments.

Dignitaries in attendance at the inauguration include Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro, APM Chairman; Otunba Adegbenro Fagbemi, DG Campaign Council; Dr. Nureni Adeniran, AROSAD and Deputy DG for Oyo South; Hon. Demola Ojo, Deputy DG, Oyo North; Hon. Siju Lawal, Deputy DG, Oyo Central; Hon. Femi Ojo, Director Youth Mobilization, Amb. Kazeem Bolarinwa, Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde; and Honourable Kazeem Adeyinka Bibiire.

Others are leaders and stakeholders of APM across the state.

The newly inaugurated coordinators, in their separate responses, pledged total loyalty to the party and promised to deliver their respective local governments for APM in the forthcoming elections.

The event ended with cheers and solidarity songs as members reaffirmed their support for the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde and the APM structure.
