A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State and former two-term member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adegboyega Mathew Abioye, has felicitated His Imperial Majesty, Oba Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his historic 82nd birthday and first anniversary on the throne as the Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Hon. Abioye, who represented Ogo Oluwa/Surulere State Constituency from 2007 to 2015, extended his warm wishes to the monarch on the auspicious twin celebration.
In a statement made available to newsmen, the former lawmaker popularly known as “Elder”, praised Oba Ladoja for his steadfast commitment to the development, peace, and unity of Ibadanland and Oyo State as a whole.
“His Imperial Majesty’s life has been defined by distinguished leadership, unwavering dedication to public service, and profound devotion to the culture and tradition of our people.
Reaching the milestone age of 82 while celebrating a peaceful and prosperous first year on the throne of his ancestors is a testament to God’s abundant grace upon his life,” Abioye stated.
The APC leader noted that Oba Ladoja’s transition from a respected elder statesman, Senator, and former Governor to the paramount ruler of Ibadanland has brought immense wisdom and stability to traditional governance in the state.
“On behalf of my family and the good people of Ogo Oluwa/Surulere Constituency, I warmly congratulate Kabiyesi on these landmark occasions.
I pray that Almighty God grants him robust health, divine wisdom, and long life to lead Ibadanland into an era of even greater achievements and prosperity,” the statement concluded.
