In the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan, the Personal Assistant to the Oyo State Governor, Alhaji Akeem Azeez, hosted a special Iftar (breaking of fast) for Muslim faithful and members of the community, bringing together people from Ibadan North East and beyond across Oyo State.

The gathering was organized to provide an opportunity for fasting Muslims to break their fast together while strengthening unity, brotherhood, and community relations during the sacred month of Ramadan.
The event attracted several prominent personalities, political leaders, and community stakeholders from within and outside Ibadan North East, reflecting the wide support and respect enjoyed by the host.

Among the dignitaries present was the Oyo State PDP Deputy Chairman, Alhaji Wasiu Adewumi Adeleke. Also in attendance was the Chairman of Ibadan North West Local Government, Alhaji Rahman Adepoju, as well as the Oyo State PDP Publicity Secretary, Hon. Michael Ogunsina.


Also present at the event was the Oyo State Commissioner for Works, Hon. AbdMojeed Mogbonjubola, whose presence further highlighted the significance of the gathering.
Other notable personalities included the Chief of Staff, Ibadan North West Local Government, Hon. Kazeem Fantola, Hon. Lanre Sarumi,and the Chief of Staff, Ibadan South West Local Government, Alhaji Hassan Bello.

The Chief Imam of Omituntun Mosque, Alhaji AbdMojeed Olanase, also graced the occasion, offering spiritual presence and prayers during the event.

The PDP Executive members in Ibadan North East Local Government were also fully represented, led by Alhaji Isiaka Fatokun Abuye, demonstrating strong party unity and grassroots participation.
Other respected political figures and stakeholders in attendance included Hon. Tawa, Hon. Dasola, and Hon. Ayo Olopoeyan, alongside many party members and supporters.
The Iftar created a moment of togetherness as attendees broke their fast collectively, sharing meals, exchanging pleasantries, and engaging in lively conversations. The atmosphere was filled with joy, camaraderie, and gratitude, as guests appreciated the importance of the gathering during the blessed month.
Speaking on the significance of the event, the host emphasized that Ramadan is a time that encourages compassion, generosity, and unity among people. By organizing the Iftar, Alhaji Akeem Azeez reaffirmed his commitment to fostering harmony among the people and strengthening the bond between leaders and the community.
The gathering ended with prayers for peace, continued progress, and development in Oyo State, as well as for the well-being of its citizens and the success of its leadership.
