The lawmaker representing Ibadan South East/Ibadan North East federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Abass Adigun (Agboworin), has completed the installation of solar-powered streetlights in six out of the twelve electoral wards in the North East part of his constituency in Ibadan.

This development comes few days after the successful completion of the streetlights in all the 12 wards in Ibadan South East local government area, a development which has attracted a lot of commendations and positive reactions from the residents and benefitting communities.

Some of the wards that have been covered include Keru Street-Odo Osun community (Ward 1); Itabaale-Ogboriefon (Ward 2); Ogundipe street (Ward 3); Bembow-Kosodo community including Olanase Mosque and Ile-Aperin (Ward 4); Aderogba/Temidire area (Ward 5) and Sagun/Oje market in Ward 6.

According to testimonies from residents, the streetlights project has contributed immensely to improving the safety of people living within the neighborhoods and, at the same time, boosting commerce at night as a result of the illumination.

Residents were seen at night showering accolades and prayers on the lawmaker as they continue to bask in the euphoria of the illumination.

This project, no doubt, would not only continue to enhance safety and security for residents, it would also boost commercial activities and improve their quality of life in the area.

Agboworin’s efforts demonstrates his commitment to providing essential infrastructure and promoting community development in his constituency.
