Agboworin Vows To Continue Legislating In The Best Interest Of His Constituents As NASS Resumes

The lawmaker representing Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Abass Adigun Agboworin, has reiterated his commitment to advancing the interests of his constituents in the National Assembly.

Agboworin made this declaration while speaking with some journalists on Tuesday following the resumption of the House of Representatives after a recess.

The two term lawmaker, who is also the Chairman of House Committee on Narcotic Drugs, expressed that he was more determined than ever to advance people-focused legislation and deliver purposeful, results-driven oversight.

He noted that he used the opportunity of the break to reconnect with the people and stakeholders of his constituency, listening to their concerns and sharing ideas on how to further develop and facilitate more projects to the constituency.

The lawmaker expressed his renewed energy and vision for his constituency, saying it is not just his duty but a mandate and the heart of his legislative agenda.

Agboworin said: “I am more determined than ever to advance people-focused legislation and deliver purposeful, results-driven oversight and that is what I want my constituents to know.

“While on break, I took the opportunity to reconnect with the people, listening to their concerns and sharing ideas as well as to see how we can further advance our constituency for the betterment of our people.

“So, I remained engaged in key legislative duties while away from the chambers, and I am now fully recharged to continue my assignment as I return to the National Assembly upon our resumption.

“To my constituents and all Nigerians, rest assured I will continue to remain steadfast in my commitment to legislate in your best interest and facilitate more things that would be of immense benefit to us all in the state.

“My experience in the United States Navy has taught me the importance of discipline, hard work, and service to others.

“So, I can assure you that I will remain committed to using my skills and experience to make a positive impact in the lives of my constituents and Nigerians at large.”
