Again, IBSWLG Councillor Hon. Ganiyu Adebayo Emerges APM Ward 10 Councillorship Candidate for 2027

The incumbent Councillor representing Ward 10 in Ibadan South West Local Government, Hon. Ganiyu Adebayo, has again emerged as the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) Councillorship candidate for the 2027 local government election, securing the party’s ticket to seek another three-year term in office.

The party’s selection process initially featured four aspirants: Hon. Ganiyu Adebayo, Comrade Dauda Gbadamosi, Hon. Stanley Tolulope, and Hon. Tunji Adebanjo.

Before the final vote, Comrade Dauda Gbadamosi and Hon. Stanley Tolulope voluntarily stepped down and endorsed Hon. Ganiyu Adebayo, leaving him to contest against Hon. Tunji Adebanjo.

At the conclusion of the voting exercise, Hon. Ganiyu Adebayo recorded a landslide victory, polling 13 votes, while Hon. Tunji Adebanjo received 0 votes, resulting in a 13–0 win.

Party members described the outcome as a demonstration of confidence in Hon. Ganiyu Adebayo’s leadership and performance as the serving Councillor for Ward 10, expressing optimism that he would continue to deliver quality representation if elected in the 2027 local government election.
