Hon. Saminu Riliwan Gbadamosi JP, popularly known as Wale Canada, Member Representing Atisbo/Saki-East State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, has extended his warmest congratulations to His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Abiodun Makinde, FNSE, D.Sc., GSSRS, Executive Governor of Oyo State, and Her Excellency, Engr. Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, FNSE, on their conferment and installation as Aare Soludero and Yeye Aare Soludero of Ibarapa Land, respectively.

In a congratulatory message, Hon. Wale Canada described the prestigious traditional honours as well deserved, noting that the recognition represents a profound expression of appreciation by the people of Ibarapa Land for the leadership, service and contributions of Their Excellencies to the peace, unity, growth and development of Oyo State.

He observed that traditional titles occupy a deeply respected place within Yoruba cultural heritage, serving not merely as symbols of honour and recognition but also as embodiments of responsibility, service, cultural stewardship and a continuing bond between title holders and the communities that honour them.

According to Wale Canada, the conferment of the titles on Governor Makinde and his wife is a significant demonstration of the confidence, goodwill and appreciation of the people of Ibarapa Land. He noted that the occasion also underscores the enduring relationship between democratic leadership, traditional institutions and the people in advancing the collective interests of society.

The lawmaker described the occasion as a celebration of leadership, service, culture, unity and community, expressing confidence that the recognition would further strengthen the bonds of cooperation, mutual respect and shared responsibility among the Oyo State Government, traditional institutions and the people of Ibarapa Land.

He commended the traditional rulers, community leaders and the entire people of Ibarapa Land for honouring Their Excellencies in such a distinguished manner, describing the gesture as a reflection of the enduring Yoruba tradition of recognising service, character and contributions to the wellbeing of the people.

Wale Canada further expressed confidence that the new traditional responsibilities would provide another meaningful platform for Their Excellencies to contribute to the continued promotion of peace, unity, cultural heritage and sustainable development within Ibarapa Land and Oyo State at large.

He prayed for continued wisdom, good health, strength and divine guidance for Governor Seyi Makinde and Her Excellency, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, as they assume the responsibilities and expectations associated with their new traditional positions.

While wishing the newly installed Aare Soludero and Yeye Aare Soludero of Ibarapa Land a fulfilling and impactful tenure, Wale Canada reaffirmed his best wishes for continued peace, progress, prosperity and harmonious coexistence throughout Ibarapa Land and Oyo State.
