A New Era of Energy Stability:Hon Abiodun Babalola Commends Governor Makinde on 11 MW Power Project

Oyo State Lawmaker, Hon. Abiodun Babalola, has Commended Governor Seyi Makinde for commissioning the first phase of the 11 MW Oyo State Independent Power Project. This project is a significant milestone in the state’s efforts to improve its power supply and reduce reliance on the national grid.

The newly commissioned 11 MW hybrid power solution, which includes 10 MW of gas-fired power generation and 1 MW of PV solar solution, will provide power to several key facilities in the state, including 12 healthcare facilities, the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, and the Oyo State House of Assembly. The project is expected to have a significant impact on the state’s economy and quality of life for its citizens.
