Cholera outbreak: Oyo Lawmaker Hon.Olayinka Omikunle Charged Constituents On Proper Hygiene.

Due to the recent cholera outbreak in some parts of Nigeria and as stakeholders across the state has been working tirelessly to put an end to the deadly disease.

The lawmaker representing Ibadan South East Constituency 2 at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olayinka Omikunle has called on the people of his constituency and the entire people of Oyo State to prioritize the importance of public health and proper hygiene

Omikunle in a statement noted that the disease is caused by the bacterium, Vibrio cholerae, which is often found in unclean water,contaminated food,open defecation area’s and human feces

He maintained that the cholera disease is preventable only if people of the state can stay safe and healthy by ensure the proper monitoring of what they eat and drink.

He charged people to imbibe the character of washing their hands regularly,while the lawmaker also called on the mother’s to pay proper attention to their children.

Hon.Olayinka Omikunle therefore appreciate the government of Oyo State under the leadership of Gov.Seyi Makinde for ensuring proper sensitization of the people since the news of the cholera outbreak,while he called on every citizen of the state to support the government by adhere strictly to all the guidelines and preventive measure against the deadly cholera disease.
