Oluwo Hails Makinde On Osogbo-Iwo-Ibadan Road, Urges Adeleke, Contractors to Come to Terms
Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, has urged Osun state Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, and the contractor handling the 55.4 kilometer Osun state section of the road, Lanre Adeleke, to come to terms with each other
It will be recalled that Oyo State Governor ‘Seyi Makinde and ex-Osun Governor Adegboyega Oyetola awarded 91 kilometers of Osogbo-Iwo-Ibadan Road in 2022 at the cost of #24 billion.
Oluwo, inspecting Egberi river bridge, Olodo area of Ibadan, Oyo State yesterday, hailed Makinde for his commitment towards ensuring the project is completed in time.
He said; ‘The bridge was not part of the plan, it was culverts that were designed for this place before, until last December when it was discovered that a bridge is required for this place.
‘I must commend Governor Makinde, who hurriedly okayed the change of design from culvert to bridge. I must also praise the contractor, Lanre Adeleke, who has almost finished this work within a short period.
Reacting to the questions. about challenges on the Osun section of the project, the monarch said; ‘ I am appealing to the Governor to give the contractor more money to finish this work”.
