Just In: Odidiomo Appoints Former Commissioner Seun Fakorede Director of Youth Mobilization

The Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) senatorial candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide, popularly known as Odidiomo, has appointed former Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Seun Fakorede, as the Director of Youth Mobilization of the Odidiomo Campaign Organization ahead of the 2027 elections.

The appointment places Fakorede, a youth development advocate and former member of the Oyo State Executive Council, at the centre of the campaign organization’s efforts to engage young people across the nine local government areas that make up Oyo South Senatorial District.

In his new role, Fakorede is expected to coordinate engagements with youth leaders, organizations, community stakeholders and other youth-focused groups across the senatorial district as the campaign organization prepares for the 2027 polls.

Fakorede, a civil engineering graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, was appointed Commissioner for Youth and Sports by the Oyo State Government in 2019 at the age of 27. He was widely reported at the time as one of Nigeria’s youngest state commissioners.

He is also the founder of Home Advantage Africa, a social development and youth empowerment organization focused on initiatives aimed at youth development and community impact.

The appointment is expected to strengthen the youth-focused component of the Odidiomo Campaign Organization as it begins broader political engagement across Oyo South ahead of the 2027 elections.
