The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Olooye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, FCA, has commenced his much-anticipated statewide Thank-You Visit, fulfilling one of the promises he made during a press conference to personally appreciate the people of Oyo State and engage them ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Adegoke, the Aare Egbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland, kicked off the exercise on Thursday, September 3, 2026, with a visit to the Irepo/Olorunsogo/Orelope Federal Constituency. The first leg of the tour has been described by supporters as a major grassroots mobilisation exercise aimed at strengthening the ADC across the state and “harvesting” votes for the party ahead of the 2027 polls.
The statewide tour is scheduled to cover virtually all federal constituencies in Oyo State, with Adegoke expected to meet party stakeholders, community leaders, supporters and electorates during the engagements. The itinerary indicates that the tour will run from September 3 to September 21, with scheduled breaks and a special religious engagement.
