Mogaji Stephen Akin Fagbemi: An Undeniable Definition of Borderless Leadership

Leadership is a multifaceted concept that encompasses several qualities, principles, and responsibilities. Yet, despite its broad and sometimes ambiguous nature, I know a man who exemplifies distinctive leadership qualities. If I am permitted to say so, Mogaji Akin Fagbemi represents not only effective leadership but also borderless leadership, the kind of leadership that transcends personal interests and immediate spheres of influence to positively impact lives and communities.

Beyond his intimidating, remarkable, and breathtaking academic and professional profile which I have deliberately chosen not to dwell on at this time to avoid misconceptions, his years of service in the corridors of power as a public servant have been outstanding.

To many, he is a passionate builder of people, a dedicated human-capital developer, and a down-to-earth personality who consistently prioritises results over recognition or commendation. These qualities, in my view, are some of the defining attributes of a true leader.

As a boss in the field of Food Technology and governance, I have had the privilege of engaging with him on numerous occasions and across different projects. His depth of knowledge, capacity for strategic thinking, and exceptional oratory skills are undeniable. Indeed, his ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively is one of the important qualities required of anyone who aspires to serve effectively in the Green Chamber.

I choose not to bore you with excessive rhetoric. Based on my years of knowing and engaging with him, I am confident that he will perform exceptionally well as the Honourable Member representing the Ibadan South-West/North-West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

I therefore encourage our people to pay close attention to this great Mogaji of Ibadanland and to support his vision and aspiration. I firmly believe that his leadership, experience, competence, and commitment will contribute significantly to the development and prosperity of the Federal Constituency.
