Hon. Arogundade Emerges APM Chairmanship Candidate, Hails Gov. Makinde, Party Leaders, Delegates

The Executive Chairman of Ibarapa East Local Government, Hon. Kazeem Owolabi Arogundade, has emerged as the Chairmanship Candidate of the Allied People’s Movement, (APM), for the forthcoming Local Government elections in Oyo State through consensus.

In a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Femi Ojedokun, the Chairman described his emergence as a renewed call to service and a validation of the trust the people have in his administration.

Hon. Arogundade appreciated the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde,state leadership of APM, party elders, stakeholders, and delegates for their support, unity, and peaceful conduct throughout the primary process. He noted that the landslide endorsement reflects the acceptability of his people-centered style of governance.

“On behalf of my family and the good people of Ibarapa East, I sincerely thank our leaders, delegates, and every APM member who stood by us. This victory belongs to all of us who believe in progress, transparency, and grassroots development,” he said.

The Chairman reaffirmed his commitment to consolidating on the achievements of his first term in areas of infrastructure, healthcare, education, youth empowerment, and security. He promised that a second term under APM would bring even greater development to every ward in Ibarapa East Local Government.

Hon. Arogundade also called on all party members to remain united and work together ahead of the general elections. He stressed that the task ahead requires collective effort to ensure that APM records a resounding victory across Ibarapa East.

He prayed for a peaceful campaign season and urged the people of Ibarapa East to come out en masse to vote for him and other APM candidates in Oyo State during the local government election scheduled for December,2026.

In the same vein, the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa East Local Government, Hon. Kazeem Owolabi Arogundade, who doubles as APM Chairmanship candidate in the forthcoming local government election used the medium to appeal to Nigerians to vote massively for Gov. Seyi Makinde as president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi as next Oyo State Governor and other APM candidates across Nigeria.
