The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for Akinyele Constituency II in the Oyo State House of Assembly election, Hon. Olalere Solomon (ERE), has reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots development and the welfare of traders with the donation of solar-powered streetlights and a cash support of ₦250,000 to the Akinyele Market men and women.
The donations were made during a visit to Akinyele Market, where the Assembly hopeful met with market leaders and traders in an atmosphere of warmth and appreciation.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Olalere Solomon (ERE) commended the market men and women for their invaluable contributions to the economic growth of Akinyele Local Government and their significant role in strengthening food security across the constituency and Oyo State at large.
He described traders as the backbone of the local economy, noting that their resilience and commitment to ensuring the availability of food and other essential commodities deserve recognition and continuous support.

“As critical stakeholders in our communities, your contributions to economic development and food security cannot be overemphasized.
Your hard work sustains families, creates jobs, and drives the local economy.
It is only right that you receive the support and encouragement you deserve,” he said.
Demonstrating his people-centred approach to leadership, Hon. Olalere Solomon donated several solar-powered streetlights to the market to improve visibility, enhance security, and enable traders to carry out their businesses safely during the evening hours.
In addition, he presented a cash donation of ₦250,000 to support the ongoing building construction project embarked upon by the market men and women, describing the initiative as a worthwhile investment that would improve trading activities and create a more conducive business environment.
The APM candidate assured the traders that he would always remain responsive to their needs and continue to champion initiatives that promote their welfare and the development of Akinyele Constituency II.
“I will always stand with our market men and women. Your progress is the progress of our constituency, and I will continue to support initiatives that improve your businesses and livelihoods,” he assured.
Responding on behalf of the traders, the Babaloja of Akinyele Market, Alhaji Abdullahi Akanbi, and the Iyaloja of Akinyele Market, Alhaja Fausat Oluwakemi, expressed profound appreciation to Hon. Olalere Solomon (ERE) for his generosity, compassion, and unwavering love for the market community.
They described his gesture as timely and impactful, noting that the solar streetlights would enhance security within the market while the financial support would significantly accelerate the completion of the ongoing market building project.
The market leaders offered fervent prayers for Hon. Olalere Solomon (ERE), asking God Almighty to grant him success in all his endeavours, fulfil his aspirations, and bless him with the wisdom and strength to continue serving humanity.
