KOLLABO Declares for Ibadan North East Chairmanship, Promises Inclusive Governance

A chairmanship aspirant on the platform of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Hon. Balogun Olatunji Smith, popularly known as KOLLABO, has formally declared his intention to contest for the chairmanship of Ibadan North East Local Government, pledging to run an inclusive and people-oriented administration if elected.

The declaration, held at Egbejoda Cooperative Hall, Agugu, Ibadan, attracted party leaders, executives and supporters from across the local government and Oyo South Senatorial District.

Addressing party members and supporters, KOLLABO said his ambition was driven by a desire to provide quality leadership and accelerate grassroots development through policies that would accommodate all stakeholders irrespective of political affiliation.

He assured party members that, if given the APM ticket and subsequently elected as chairman, his administration would be transparent, participatory and focused on improving the welfare of residents through inclusive governance.

The event was attended by key APM leaders, including the party’s Oyo South Senatorial Chairman, Alhaji Mashood Adesina; the State Deputy Chairman, Mr. John Adejumo; and the State Treasurer, Alhaji Musa Babajide.

Also present were the APC Oyo South Senatorial Youth Leader, Ibrahim Jinadu; the APM executive members in Ibadan North East Local Government led by the party chairman, Alaga Taye Iyiola; as well as executives and members from the 11 wards in the local government.

Party stakeholders at the event urged members to remain united ahead of the party’s primary election, expressing confidence in the party’s prospects in the forthcoming local government polls.
